On the 1rst of March, is the official kick-off for the analysis of the activity phase.

From that date, the partners of the project ESCOT can start organizing the analysis of teachning activities of trainers.

These analysis will be done on different elements that have been defined by the team during the seminar of Rennes, with the help of Professor Thierry PIOT.

They concern the following teaching elements :

  1. Supporting motivation / commitment

  2. Organizing and managing the dynamic of the group

  3. Preventing and managing attitudes and behaviour

  4. Taking into account each trainee

  5. Preparing and organizing the learning activities

  6. Supporting learning

  7. Ensuring evaluation

  8. Piloting, shaping and reshaping the training

The tools that are used are :

  • A grid of the analysis of teaching activities, to collect the data from the observation and from the interview

  • An annex to that grid, which contains a list of questions that can be used for the interview to make more explicit a practice that has been observed

  • A guide for the analysis of activity, that provides advices about how to get in touch with a trainer and how to perform the observation and the interview.

The objective for this critical part of the project, is to get 50 analysis per partner, ie 200 analysis of teaching activities of trainers from the 1st of march till the end of June...

This material will be the basis for the next phase of the project, ie conception and production of elearning modules and evaluation tools.
